In the morning of 9 August 2023, acting on information received, the Police conducted checks on a hotel villa located on Sentosa Island. On arrival, the Police found substances believed to be controlled drugs
at several locations within the premises of the villa. Officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) were subsequently called to the scene.
2. Forty-nine men, of whom 35 are Singaporeans, were in the hotel villa and they were arrested for suspected drug offences. The 49 men are aged between 21 and 46. During the operation, several substances suspected to be
controlled drugs, including ‘Ecstasy’ and ketamine, and other drug paraphernalia were seized.

3. Under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973, it is an offence for a person to arrange for gatherings for drug abuse, and it is also an offence for the premise owner, tenant or occupier to permit the premises to be used for drug
abuse or drug trafficking.
4. Investigations by CNB into the drug activities of all arrested suspects are ongoing.
