The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested 116 suspected drug offenders in an island-wide anti-drug operation from 6 to 16 January 2025. A total of about 2.9kg of heroin, 1.2kg of ‘Ice’, 643g of ketamine, 262g of ‘Ecstasy’, 218g of cannabis, 419 Erimin-5 tablets, five bottles of methadone and a small amount of new psychoactive substances were seized. The seized drugs have an estimated street value of more than SGD550,000. The youngest arrested in this island-wide operation was a 14-year-old student, for suspected drug abuse.
2. Some of the areas covered during this island-wide operation included Ang Mo Kio, Bedok Reservoir, Bukit Batok, Bishan, Geylang, Havelock, MacPherson, Redhill and Tampines.

3. On 7 January, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Bukit Batok Street 52. Forced entry was effected as the suspect refused to heed the lawful orders of the officers to be granted access into the unit. The suspected drug trafficker, an 18-year-old student, was arrested within the unit. Prior to officers gaining entry into the unit, they spotted the suspect throwing items out from the kitchen window. He was escorted to the ground floor where officers recovered a plastic packet containing about 500g of ketamine.
4. A follow-up operation saw the arrest of another suspected drug trafficker, a 34-year-old man, in the vicinity of Segar Road. The man was escorted to his residential unit in the vicinity of Bangkit Road where a search of the unit led to the recovery of about 19g of ketamine and six grammes of ‘Ecstasy’ from within the unit. Officers also recovered about 100g of ketamine from behind a trolley placed outside the unit. Officers proceeded to conduct a search of the man’s car and about 97g of ‘Ecstasy’ and 24g of ketamine were recovered from within the car.

5. On 14 January, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Circuit Road. A 60-year-old man, suspected of drug trafficking, was arrested within the unit. A search of the unit led to the recovery of about 536g of heroin and cash amounting to SGD40,466.20.

6. On 15 January, CNB officers raided a hotel unit in the vicinity of Geylang Lorong 4 and arrested four suspected drug traffickers within the unit. The four suspects are three men aged 31, 40 and 43 years old and a 31-year-old woman. The 43-year-old man is stateless while the rest are Singaporeans. A search of the unit led to the recovery of about 2,047g of heroin, 1,081g of ‘Ice’, 158g of cannabis, 98g of ‘Ecstasy’, 339 Erimin-5 tablets, three bottles of methadone and SGD21,446.40 in cash. A karambit knife was also found within the unit.
7. Officers escorted the 43-year-old man to his car parked in the vicinity and a search of the car led to the recovery of about 130g of heroin and 26g of ‘Ice’. A range of other scheduled and offensive weapons were also found within the car. The weapons seized in this operation have been handed over to the Police for investigations.

8. A follow-up operation saw the arrest of two other Singaporean men, both aged 29 and are suspected drug abusers. The first suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Balestier Road. He had about 16g of ‘Ice’ on him. The second suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Lengkok Bahru. He had about eight grammes of ‘Ice’ and five grammes of cannabis on him.
9. Investigations into all arrested suspects are ongoing.
