Drug Victims Remembrance Day
The consequences of drug abuse can be tragic and loud, or unheard and unacknowledged. They can be felt intimately by drug abusers and their loved ones, or the wider community around them.
Drug Victims Remembrance Day will be observed on the third Friday of May each year – it falls on the 17th of May this year - so that, as a community, we acknowledge the harm caused by drug abuse, and remember the victims who have been harmed by neglect, abuse or violence.
Drug Victims Remembrance Day is also a way for us to come together as a community and do our part to help everyone be drug-free.
Be it a child, sibling, or parent, the pain victims of drug abuse go through is often left unspoken and unseen. These short films aim to raise awareness on the far-reaching detriment of drug abuse beyond abusers themselves.
